Water Solution

Increasing water demands are not accompanied by increasing water supplies, indeed fresh water resources are diminishing and suffered from quality decline over time. GDP Filter responds to those challenges by various membrane-based solutions.

1. Ultrafiltration

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a pressure driven membrane separation process. Thanks to its nano-sized pores, UF membrane is widely known as powerful system for turbidity removal and desinfection in water treatment. Since it is operated in low pressure, which means low energy consumption, and yet relatively chemical-free, UF seems to be both economically and environmentally feasible.

Non-modular Ultrafiltration

Non-modular membrane system has been developed and patented by GDP Filter. This invention relates generally to the improvement in Multi-Bore Capillary Membrane fiber or hollow fiber cartridge assembly for minimizing membrane cost in larger plant.

Advantages :

  • Easier operation,
  • Less instruments,
  • Simple piping and installation,
  • More economical membrane process in larger capacity.

2. Reverse Osmosis Package

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a pressure-driven barrier to produce high purity water. RO membrane retains most of total dissolved solids and high molecular weight metal ion traces, ensure high quality drinking water and highly recommended for industrial process water.

GDP Filter provides wide range of RO Package, i.e. Low Pressure RO Package, Brackish Water RO Package, and Seawater RO Package. We also can help you to redesign and retrofit your existing RO plant.

Low Pressure Reverse Osmosis for TDS < 500 ppm

Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis for TDS 500 – 10000 ppm

Seawater Reverse Osmosis for TDS 15.000 – 40.000 ppm

UF-RO Package

Combination of Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis for pure water production is regarded as both technically and economically competitive solution. As a pretreatment package, UF dramatically increases performance and life time of RO membrane since it consistently produces water with low silt density water from any source water.

Advantages:

  • Minimization of cleaning frequencies since the RO feed will have Low Silt Density Index (SDI).
  • Minimization of cost for traditional prefiltration equipment, maintenance dan downtime due to low quality of feed water.
  • Prolong life time of RO membrane element.

3. Demin Water System

Demineralized Water (Demin Water) is water of which the minerals or salts are removed. It is used in applications where water with low salt content or low conductivity is required such as boiler feed water, phamaceutical application, electronics industry, and food industry.

GDP Filter has two alternative design for Demin Water System, which is

(1) Conventional combination of RO – Mixbed Resin to produce normal grade of Demin Water

(2) Combination of RO – EDI technology to produce Ultra Pure Water.

Electrodeionization (EDI) is usually considered a water treatmant technology that utilizes an electrode to  ionize water molecules and separate dissolved ions (impurities) from water. EDI operates chemical free, consume only electricity, and eliminating expensive regenerating cycle of conventional mixbed resin.

4. Seawater Desalination

Seawater desalination could be an alternative for areas where fresh water sources such as river, lake, or spring water are not available while seawater is abundant. GDP Filter provides Seawater Desalination Package to produce fresh and drinking water from seawater to dealt with such condition.
